About

Rooted in Texas, Driven by Community

I’m Jessi Cowart, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and candidate for Texas House District 15.

My family has called this community home for three generations — since my grandfather built his house here in 1970, before The Woodlands was even founded.

My husband, Bobby, and I both graduated from Oak Ridge High School, where we met. Today, our children are second-generation graduates, and that deep connection to this community drives my commitment to serve.

As a Project Manager by profession, I’ve built a career on cutting costs, improving efficiency, and solving problems with integrity. Those same principles guide how I’ll lead — with fiscal responsibility, transparency, and respect for every taxpayer.

  • Individual liberty

The right to live your life your way — with freedom and personal responsibility.

  • Limited government

Keeping power close to the people — ensuring accountability and local control.

  • Fiscal discipline

because taxpayers deserve better stewardship of their money.

Guided by Libertarian Principles

The growing divide in politics has left too many Texans feeling unheard. I believe it’s time for leadership rooted in freedom, responsibility, and common sense — not political extremes.

As a proud Libertarian, I stand for

I’m not here to play party politics; I’m here to defend the principles that make Texas strong — hard work, independence, and accountability.

My Mission for a Freer Texas

I’m running for the Texas House to return power where it belongs — to the people. My focus is simple:

This campaign isn’t about titles or control — it’s about freedom, fairness, and faith in the individual. Together, we can restore trust in our leaders and keep Texas the beacon of liberty it was meant to be.

Jessi is running to bring fiscal sense and human compassion back to Texas politics. She believes government should be limited, efficient, and respectful of individual freedoms. After years of serving her community and the Libertarian Party of Texas, Jessi saw firsthand how many Texans feel unheard by the two-party system. Her goal is simple — to restore trust, accountability, and liberty in Austin.

Unlike career politicians, Jessi comes from a background in IT project management, where results, efficiency, and teamwork matter. She’s not driven by party loyalty or personal gain — she’s motivated by a genuine desire to make government work smarter, not bigger. As Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Texas, Jessi brings a balanced approach — combining fiscal responsibility with compassion for individuals and families.

There are several ways to make a real impact:

  • Volunteer to help at events, go door-to-door, or manage online outreach.
  • Request a yard sign to show your support in your neighborhood.
  • Donate to help fund direct mail campaigns, voter outreach, and marketing.
  • Share Jessi’s message of freedom and accountability on social media.
Every contribution — big or small — helps spread the message of liberty across Texas.

The Libertarian Party stands for maximum freedom and minimum government. We believe individuals should have the right to make their own choices — as long as they don’t harm others. That means fiscal responsibility, personal liberty, free markets, and peaceful, voluntary cooperation. Jessi’s campaign embodies these values — because freedom, when paired with responsibility, works best for everyone.
